A False Sense of Peace

 

The global cry for peace has increased on all fronts and the sounds of this cry is echoed around the world by many world leaders, religious figures, heads of states and presidents.  Recently, former Prime Minister Tony Blair stated, "Religious extremism has become biggest source of conflict around the world and could be the defining battle of the 21^st centery." Tony Blair's effort to lead the world to promoting religious tolerance is propelled by recent events occuring in places like Syria, Egypt, Nigeria and the Phillipines.  Tony believes that "the increased violence and terrorism in most of the Arab world, along with other nations is perpetrated by people motivated by an abuse of religion." Without a doubt, the message of peace has become a resounding cymbal today.  (Source)

 

The promotion for global peace is delivered via many vessels including the Roman Catholic Church.  As referenced in a previous blog, the Roman Catholic Church has positioned itself to be forerunners of the ecumenical movement declaring peace should be the goal of all humankind, obtained with tolerance of the differences of others, and that includes tolerance of different religious beliefs.   

In scripture, Christ reveals "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world" (John 16:33).  Therefore, in no other form, no other source, no other program, no other belief and unequivocally in no other way will any man ever have peace outside of Christ.  Now, I rejoice in knowing this because it is certain I will have peace in Him; however, Tony Blair, the Roman Catholic Church and many other world leaders are indicating the exact opposite because they are proclaiming in the world there can be peace. 

Recently, in an effort to promote peace concerning the current conflict in the Ukraine, Pope Francis offered up a prayer in front of 10,000 or more at St. Peter.  After the prayer, the Pope along with several Italian children decided to release two doves as a gesture to symbolize the movement towards global peace.  However, after each dove was released from the window several birds viciously attacked them both.  In the first image, you will see a dove attacked by a seagull.  The seagull pinned one of the doves' against the wall of the palace and continued to peck at the dove.

The other dove was resting on a windowsill before it was attacked unawares by a crow, which continued to peck at the dove repeatedly.  

Now, each gesture is significant as it represents the present age and is a sign of events prophesied in scripture.  Let me be clear on what is occuring, Pope Francis, a world-renowned religious figure, is promoting global peace and as a gesture of that peace, he releases several doves at St. Peters. Now, I will review the prophetic words of Paul. 

In an epistle to the church at Thessalonica, Paul reminds them the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night.  One of the key signs prior to His return will be the proclamation of "Peace and safety!" among the nations. However, he warns the church when this is declared, sudden destruction will come and the workers of iniquity will not escape.  He admonishes the church in his epistle to be vigilant because the church is not in darkness.  We should be alert during these times, not sleeping in other words we should NOT be content with the circumstances of this world no longer preparing for the coming of the day of the Lord.  We are to remain watchful during this hour as lawlessness has increased, always sober in Christ (1 Thessalonians 5). 

Just as Paul stated in scripture that sudden destruction would come when they say peace and safety, the attack of the "doves" released by the Pope symbolizes the peace offered is a false sense of peace.  The world will not have peace prior to the return of the Messiah; it has already been declared in His word.   A time of distress is coming upon this land unlike the world has ever seen before. 

We continue to see what the world calls "strange" occurrences as just recently in Washington, D.C., there was an artic snowy owl spotted sitting on a green awning near McPherson Square Park.  Indeed this is a strange occurrence because these owls normally live in the treeless tundra of the Arctic.  There are many reports of people capturing images of this unique wonder in the capitol of the United States (Source). 

Many will simply view this as a coincidence, providing scientific reasoning as to how and why the owl has traveled more than 2,674 miles to the milder climate of North America and landed on an awning located within the capitol of the United States.  Let me be clear, I do not maintain any opposition to science, although I believe it has its place, but this occurrence has significant symbolism in scripture that should not be taken lightly.

We find in scripture the owl is associated with ruins – a place that has been destroyed; uninhabitable.  Let us take a closer look at the reference of the owl associated with ruins.  In Isaiah 34, judgment has come upon the enemies of Israel and the indignation of the LORD is against all nations.  He has declared a year of recompense for the cause of Zion (this is heavy and frightening) and declared the land a burning pitch that shall not be quenced.  Isaiah 34:11, He asserts "…the owl and the raven shall dwell in it." In this scripture, we clearly see the owl dwells in the city of ruins. It shall become a place, a habitation, where the night creature will find herself a place of rest. 

The fact the snowy owl was recently sitting in the US capitol city is significant in meaning as it brings attention to the matter of our Father's wrath upon the wicked, denoting judgment is coming.  Considering how the nation is engulfed in iniquity and from D.C. comes the support of same sex marriage, support of abortion, support to legalize drugs, support to liberate women and the most idolatrous practice of all, which is the support of the freedom to worship whatever god you choose - the nation has become an abomination to the Most High.

The hour is late and time is drawing nigh – it is time to make your election sure and decide whom you are going to serve.  The Lord will not tarry much longer and as long as you are distracted by the images of this world e.g., Superbowl, Politics, Careers and even the busyness of working in the church, you will be asleep at His return.  Let us truly be transformed in His image for the hour is at hand – Peace and Love!

Signs and Wonders – Will you know if they are real?

My last post focused mainly on technological advances proving man's ability to produce great signs and wonders.  Since posting, I have learned of one more that warrants referencing in today's blog.  I will not go into much detail but clearly as prophesied in scripture, there will be great signs and deception will be thick in the days prior to Christ return.  Robot Sex? Yep, that is the key to future life on earth, at least according to the research shared in this article.

 

Perhaps by exploring and learning about human evolution, intelligent machines will come to the conclusion that sex is the best way for them to evolve. I will admit as I read the article, the Holy Spirit brought to my remembrance the following scripture, "The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.  And the LORD regretted that he had made man on earth, and it grieved him to his heart.  So the LORD said, I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them" (Genesis 6:5-8). 

 

Folks, the days we are living in are extremely wicked and the thoughts of the heart of men continues to grow darker and more evil each day. It is not my intention to bring despair (although I mourn for this lost generation), but to share what the Father has placed upon my heart and to continue to sound the alarm that the "Day of the Lord" is upon us. As stated previously, it's important to examine scripture to know and understand truth. 

What does scripture reveal about signs and wonders?

 

Clearly, the first GREAT sign and wonder was creation starting with "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1).  We continue to observe in scripture signs and wonders describing Yahweh, His ways and character.  They are unique to the awe of His power and glory and they are in rather unexpected methods.  Oftentimes in scripture, the two (signs and wonders) were synonymous and appear frequently to occur together in the same text.   First, I would like to reference what is a "sign" and "wonder" according to scripture.

 

A Sign

The Hebrew word "sign" (owth) in scripture is used as unexpected divine manifestation of Yahweh (Genesis 1:14); as a warning from Yahweh (Exodus 10: 1-2, Numbers 14:11); as a way to distinguish His character declaring who He is which clearly this expression can only come from His divine power and authority (Deuteronomy 4:34); for His promises He has made (Jeremiah 32:20-22, Genesis 9:17) and that a sign may bring belief (Exodus 4:5) to all those who may have disbelief in who He is.

 

A Wonder

The Hebrew word "wonder" (mowpheth) in scripture is used as a special display of Yahweh's powers (Exodus 11:9-10); to tell of future events, as a token (Deuteronomy 13:1-2, Joel 2:30); and to marvel at the wonderful works of Yahweh (Psalms 71:7, Psalms 78:43).

 

Unmistakably, signs and wonders distinguish who The Creator (Yahweh) is and declare His ways among all of the nations from past, present and days to come. Yet, scripture makes known there are also lying signs and wonders. In other words, there are signs and wonders (past, present and future) that are supernatural BUT not of Yahweh and deceiving in nature.  

 

Signs and wonders will be during end-time events!

 

In Matthew 24: 24, Christ declares, "For false christs and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the elect."  From the words of Christ, we discern just as Pharoah had his magicians perform similar wonders in the presence of Moses and Aaron; prior to His return, miracles will be performed and will be so great the elect would be deceived, if possible (wow that is worthy of a pause).

 

Additionally, Paul warns that the "lawless one" who will come will also show signs and wonders (2 Thessalonians 2:9).  Paul goes on to make a very clear distinction by clearly revealing these will be "lying" wonders.  Without question, satan seeks to counterfeit that which is holy and he deceives many through the works performed by false christs and false prophets.  The "lawless one" (antichrist), who rebels against the Father's moral law will show great wonders and because the heart of men is wicked, many will believe these works of darkness.

Scripture reveals a time will come when the "lawless one" will have super power and will be a leader who allures the masses (Revelation 13:3).  Some will even believe He is the Messiah (Mark 13:21-23).

(1) He will exalt himself against every other god that exist today and proclaim to be god (2 Thessalonians 2:4).

(2) He will make war against the saints, change laws and be successful at doing it (Daniel 7:25, Revelation 12:17).

(3) He will come without warning and will be very flattering (Daniel 11:21).

(4) He will deceive many and will be worhsipped by those who have not been sealed by The Most High (Matthew 24:24, Revelation 13:8).

(5) He shall make fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men (Revelation 13:13).

(6) One of the most astonishing attributes of the lawless one is that he CANNOT be destroyed by mere men or human agency (Isaiah 11:4,Revelation 19:15, Revelation 19:20).  

It is important to note only those who are sealed by the Father will not be deceived by lying signs and wonders performed by false prophets and false christs including the "lawless one."

The days ahead are filled with turbulence and tribulation but we have hope in Christ knowing He has overcome the world (John 16:33).  More and more people continue to seek after a sign for many reasons.  This is nothing new as Christ was asked to share what the signs will be of His coming frequently. Yet, he reveals only an evil and adulterous generation will seek after a sign for they desire to stay in the luxury of their present life having no desire for the things of the Kingdom of Yahweh. Now is definitely not the time to remain comfy in our living - if we can discern the seasons surely we can discern His coming is at hand!

"An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah" (Matthew 12:39).

"A wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah" (Mark 16:4).

Let us not seek after signs and wonders but work towards being transformed in the image of Christ daily.  The time is now to draw nigh to the Father, repent of sins believing in the gospel for the Kingdom of Yahweh is at hand – Peace and Love!

Signs and Wonders

All throughout scripture there are many references to signs and wonders.  For example, The LORD (Yahweh) showed many signs and wonders when delivering the children of Israel from the bondage of Pharoah in Egypt. These signs and wonders were with great deeds and terror and brought fear among the land as Yahweh stretched forth mightily making a name for Himself (Nehemiah 9:10).  Additionally, signs and wonders continued throughout scripture (John 4:47-49,Acts 2:21-23) as performed by Christ and the ministry of the Apostles. 

What about today, do they continue?  Well, that is a very interesting question considering there aren't any major prophets, with the same stature as Moses or Elijah, walking among the masses today. Of course, this does not limit our Father from continuing to allow signs and wonders for the advancement of His Kingdom.

It appears signs and wonders that seem to defy logic or reason have pretty much ceased or that is the message many are purporting, including believers.  Due to the current age of technological advances, most determine that they are no longer needed or they are not possible because there is no scientific evidence to prove otherwise.  More importantly, many will ask questions such as 'what is the need for these events to occur again' especially with the advances in technology.  The increase in knowledge of what is good and evil certainly did not exclude man's ability to show signs and wonders even in the form of modern day technology. 

 

As knowledge increases, so appears the capability of men to produce wonders.  Recently, I read several articles where a headband (yes a headband) will allow a person to control their dreams.  This concept, known as the real life "Inception" is one of many technological advances that go beyond reasoning causing countless to marvel at the ability to control one's dream.  Below is an introduction of the concept in a recent Fox News article:

A new headband that launched onKickstarter this month promises to do just that by helping you reach what the creators call a "lucid dream" state.

The purpose of this headband is to alter one's natural state of mind and to encourage questioning what is considered reality.  The mere concept of altering or controlling your dreams would seem impossible, so to create a method to alter a person's reality have many mesmerized.  In turn, people (including believers) have begun to replace their faith in Yahweh with faith in modern day signs and wonders believing the technology advancements made by men are far more superior to the Father (how they overlook creation baffles me).  In addition, these advances are more "credible" during this present age as they are tangible and validated by scientific evidence and research.  There are countless events happening in this present age where men seem to achieve feats that are considered miraculous accomplishments.  These modern day miracles will continue to grow as knowledge and deception increases in the world.  The signs and wonders performed during end-times will attempt to match the power of Yahweh. 

Below is a link to a video of a holographic projection used to transmit a visual of city skylines, and other phenomenal imagery in China. So to explain, a hologram is a three-dimensional image formed by the interference of light beams from a laser or other coherent light source (Source:http://www.livescience.com/34652-hologram.html). While they are not very common, the advances in this technology have really increased over the years.  There are several videos (including CNN) showing where and how this technology can be used. What seemed only made for television (e.g. Star Trek) is no longer a creative concept for entertainment purposes only.  Although, most of us understand the reality is summed up by the infamous quote "art imitates life" but I will leave it there for now.

Clearly, knowledge is increasing and so are the signs and wonders created by men.  These phenomenons are not to be taken lightly as they are the prelude to greater signs and wonders by the "lawless one" or the "antichrist."  He will come with great signs and lying wonders and Christ says many will be deceived including God's elect, if that were possible.  Let us look closely at what we embrace in this age of technological advances.  We should not assume good intentions are behind the advancement of things that attempt to defy gravity, change a person's reality or alter their current state of being. All things should be tested by the Spirit before they are embraced and there is any involvement especially on the part of a believer. I hope to continue the focus on signs and wonders with events that are to come as revealed in scripture.  May we continue to transform in His image daily – Peace and Love!

Increase in Knowledge

With the increase in technology, access to information is readily available to anyone, almost anywhere and it seems limitless. Of course that comes with an extremely high price as now a person has to rely on their own instinct/judgment to determine what is true, what could be true, what is false, what is fantasy, what is plausible, what is beneficial, what is incomplete and so forth.  It is hard to balance so much information when there are no limits to the sources of information and no boundaries to disseminating the information throughout the world.  

With out a solid foundation deeply rooted in Christ, it will be impossible to escape deception and the strong delusion that is coming.  This is evident now by many who are unable to decipher through the lies that have already infiltrated many religious institutions.  Even those who have been "called out" of churchianity, appear overwhelmed by the depth of knowledge they are attaining and in most cases, it is beginning to show by their unstable behavior and driftiness.  While the focus is to shine light in darkness, I pray this information is beneficial to all.

The Increase in Knowledge – The Beginning

The advancement in technology certainly has contributed to the increase in knowledge. Plainly stated, "Technology, science, and inventions have progressed at an accelerated rate during the hundred years of the 20th century, more so than any other century" (Source:http://inventors.about.com/od/timelines/a/twentieth.htm). This statement is true and the evidence is actually right at our fingertips.  One of the key components has come through the "Information Age" (digital, computer and media) which also has the greatest impact on how information is shared and received.  

It would be a demanding and extremely wearisome task to list individually all of the sources contributing to the increase in knowledge so I will focus simply on what scripture reveals will occur.  Let us start from the beginning in Genesis 2:17 where the LORD God (Yahweh) forbids the first man (Adam) from eating of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. To disobey this commandment would come with the most severe punishment of all, DEATH!  Undoubtebly, there are HUGE consequences to knowing good and evil and there may be a few of us who can now say, we get it! Since the disobedience of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, man's quest to obtain knowledge has not ceased but actually has increased dramatically. Coupled with the advancement in technology, knowledge has finally found its footing in the heart of mankind.

The tree of knowledge was NOT the tree of knowledge of cat vs. dog or green tea vs. black tea or small vs. large. It was the tree of knowledge of what is good and what is evil.  When a person obtains knowledge, they become aware, conscious, and able to understand or come to the realization of a matter.  When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they awakened to several truths.  The first truth was they knew their nakedness; the second truth was they knew they had been disobedient and lastly they knew they were going to die!  So, being aware and conscious of a matter is very important but the truth we learn or the knowledge we obtain may not always be beneficial or a blessing.  In Adam and Eve's case knowledge was not beneficial nor a blessing as they were cursed, resulting in all of mankind being appointed to die.

Mark 13:5,22 ...'TAKE HEED, lest any man deceive you ... For false christs and false prophets shall arise and shall show signs and wonders to seduce, if possible, even the elect.'

There are alot of events occuring around the world that clearly are signs of the end times. These events are not the result of ignorant souls but those who are well-educated (knowledgable) of certain facts. I would like to focus on signs and wonders in my next post as I look at how the increase of knowledge will come in the guise of impossible feats achieved by mere men.  I encourage all believers to stay in the word of Yahweh, renewing their mind and transforming in the image of Christ daily – Peace and Love!

Be Encouraged!

Be Encouraged! 

Before I begin my next topic I wanted to post a little encouragement.  Lately, I have seen so many people stressed, some discouraged others are simply tired and mainly it is from day to day living.  With the "madness" each day from morning to night it is no surprise many are simply beat down by life.  Long gone are the days of relaxing, spending time with family, traveling and simply enjoying the simplicity of life.  There are many reasons for the seemingly shorter days (really its not) but I want to offer a solution to life's challenges that is really simple and I know for a fact, it works! 

It's hard not to get discouraged and want to just go crawl in a hole, but I can say no matter what you may be going through – you can only handle so much. What do I mean by that? Well it's simple. A lot of times when we are going through situations in life we tend to create a million "what ifs?"  

   "What if the highway collapses and I can't get to the grocery store?"                                                                                 

OR 

"What if I am walking and enter a black hole and no one is there to watch my disappearance?"

OR

"What if I win the lottery and don't have any family and friends to share the experience with?"

Yep, that is how we do and as ridiculous as it sounds, we will invent scenarios that would create a national disaster on a global scale if our thoughts were allowed to germinate into the natural.  Okay, I said there is a solution and it is simple so here it goes, Jesus (Yahshua) is perfect rest!  Yea I know, probably not the answer many of you were looking for but if you believe in Him and trust that He has overcome the world it really is not that hard to find rest in Him.  Sometimes I pray, other times I may offer praise or it may be reading and meditating on His word, but no matter what I am going through when I focus on Him I am not thinking of my problems or approaching an anxiety attack.  Christ reminds us we are to find rest in Him at all times. He has given us peace where we can cast our burdens upon him, unlike the peace that comes from this world; therefore we should not be troubled or afraid (John 14:27) no matter the circumstance. That is a great assurance because as believers we should always have joy in knowing that He has overcome this world and because He has, we are more than conquerors! 

Be encouraged, no matter what you are going through, no matter how hard it may seem and even when it seems no one understands - Christ will give you rest. So, pray over your problems, cast your cares upon him and relax! Sometimes all we need to do is take a walk and simply talk to the Father. What a great way to release the cares of the world while enjoying His splendor AND at "no cost." Let us continue to be transformed in Him - Peace and Love! 

The Interfaith Movement - End Time Deception

To conclude the topic of the Interfaith movement, it is important to understand how this movement is a fulfillment of biblical prophecy. We are living in days that are growing darker at an alarming rate. But our Father would not have us "blinded" by this deception so that a lie is believed. It is my desire that all believers will examine any work they seek to perform by scripture.

Does this “Interfaith” movement fulfill biblical prophecy of end time deception?

Our brother Paul warns in the last days prior to Yahshua's return there would be a global apostasy (2 Thessalonians 2:3) along with a global cry for peace (1 Thessalonians 5:3). The prophecy in Revelation confirms the time when the ‘false messiah’ will form his one world religion. "And he exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence, and causes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed" (Revelation 13:12). In order to achieve this, the world must be preconditioned to the concept of world peace. With the threat of nuclear attacks, a declining and disastrous economic climate, civil unrest and the quest for power – the cries for global peace are growing. The prelude to the emergence of peace will be the falling away of many from their true faith in Yahshua.

The emergence of all religions is driving the world towards the false system. Genesis 3:4-5, (4) “And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: (5) For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” This lie which was implanted at the beginning with the first Adam will be the lie that will be used to wage war against the last Adam in attempt to overthrow the Kingdom of Yahweh. Believer's must not blur the lines between lies told by satan and truth as revealed by Yahweh. We, as believer's are to contend for our faith with conviction that what was revealed to Daniel concerning Nebuchadnezzar’s dream shall come to past. “And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever” (Daniel 2:44). The only kingdom that will stand and is everlasting belongs to Christ, all others will be destroyed.

Believer's are commanded in scripture not to merge their faith with false gods e.g. Buddha, Muhammad or “one’s own god state.” Man was created in Yahweh's image and after His likeness and man will do well to believe there is only One Creator. Scripture reveals this is one of the GREATEST destructions of the church – falling away during end times (2 Timothy 4:3–4). With the Interfaith movement accelerating the ideology that all paths (religions) lead to Heaven, many are leaving the faith and turning to fables and myths. Do not be deceived for the DAY OF THE LORD is upon us, we are to remain watchful, discerning the times and trying every spirit. The Interfaith movement belongs to the anti-christ, the beast system and it shall be consumed by fire. “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches” (Revelation 3:22).

There are many who will support this movement, who will justify it based off the works that are performed and the message of peace that is conveyed by those leading this effort. No matter the approach (popular or non-popular) the underlying heartbeat of this movement remains the same, which is to de-throne the Most High in the minds and thoughts of those who He created, making Heaven here on Earth. This lie should never be supported or promoted by believers who truly love the Father. Truly, we are not to be conformed to this world but transformed by the renewing of our mind. It is my prayer that we renew our minds in His word so we are not turned over to a strong delusion and believe such lies. This has been an interesting study for me, more than I could ever share in a blog but I am excited about what the Holy Spirit has led me to share next - stay tuned. Peace and Love!

The Interfaith Movement - Work in The Name of Love

In continuing with the topic of the Interfaith Movement, I would like to address one of the most common arguments presented by those who support this movement which is "should we help our neighbor?" It is hard to believe that a "Christian" would be opposed to helping the community by feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, providing shelter for the homeless, combating racial inequalities etc. for they all seem to fit in the "Love Thy Neighbor as Thyself" commandment. Let's take a closer look at scripture and examine the works of this movement by the Holy Spirit.

What about the works performed in the "Interfaith" groups?

The works that are performed by many interfaith groups e.g., supplying homeless neighbors with hygiene kits, preparing back to school backpacks, etc. appear very noble in the eyes of man. Many of the interfaith groups have begun to find themselves at the forefront of meeting the needs of those who are less fortunate and may have received injustices in their community. Believer's are taught in scripture to “love thy neighbor as thyself” (Mark 12:31), “For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in” (Matthew 25:35) and “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone” (James 2:17). The greater commandment of love and showing love through various community outreach projects is what many believers who participate in this movement will use as basis of their support for unity among all faiths. They will ask "how can you be a Christian and not love everyone?" or "how can you be a Christian and not demonstrate this love via working in the community?" Let's examine the word for truth and clarity.

A "Christian" as revealed in the early church is a believer and follower of Yahshua as taught through the Canonical gospels and by the teachings of Christ. We must ask ourselves the question; what comes first our works or our humble confession in Christ who is the Savior of all mankind? Basically, should we first have hope in the salvation of our Lord (Yahshua), who through the shedding of His blood on the cross for our sins have redeemed us back to the Father? We are told that “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2: 8-10). It is not through our works that we have received salvation but it is only through the Grace of Yahweh. Therefore, what works shall any man perform for the Kingdom of Yahweh without the humble confession that Yahshua is Lord, believing in their heart that Yahweh hath raised this Christ from the dead (Romans 10:9)? Now, let's pause and review the premise of the Interfaith movement. It is a platform for people of all faiths to come together under the guise of peace and love in order to make the world a better place and improve societal woes. However, it does not require the humble confession that Yahshua is the Messiah. In other words, one must simply accept there is more than one path to Heaven.

The following exerpt comes from the website of The Council for the Parliament of World Religions. According to the Council there is a responsibility to be good neighbors and follow the Golden Rule, this is for the good of all mankind and to perserve the Earth where we live. The promotion to become engaged in community affairs is the common ground bridging all faiths together. The mission of the Council is: to cultivate harmony among the world’s religious and spiritual communities, and to foster their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions in order to achieve a just, peaceful and sustainable world.

We must learn the forgotten lesson that “None of you has faith until you love for your neighbor what you love for yourself.”

Let us, then, friends, share more and consume less!

I share the mission of the Council to reiterate the purpose of the movement which is to join all faiths together for the goal of humanity. The works that are performed by Interfaith groups across the globe are clearly to change people and save the planet. In every instance and every declaration of Interfaith gatherings, the goal is always on changing mankind. This perspective to "change the world" is clearly a worldly perspective and is not based off biblical principles. Believer's have not been commissioned to save ourselves and save the planet. We know salvation is of The LORD for the whole Earth is The LORD's and the fullness thereof. Again, the deceiver, satan has twisted the two greatest commandments convincing mankind that it is their duty to save themselves and the planet without Christ. In other words, "we" can become better people, we can change communities, states, countries, continents of our own will and attain eternal blessings (heaven) without Christ at the center. This is a dangerous belief and is clearly opposite of what we learn in scripture.

First, scripture is clear that we are not to fellowship and partner with unbelievers. We are warned that "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house or greet him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds” (2 John 1:9-11). One who confesses Christ and then partakes, sups, fellowships, communes, dines, works in the community, etc. with members of false religions and idolatrous practices are committing an evil deed in the eyes of Yahweh. No longer are any works accepted by the Father for they are not done for the Glory of Him nor are they performed by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. “For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is” (1 Corinthians 3:11-13). Only what is done through Christ will last not what is done in the name of peace and a better world.

Although we are to "love thy neighbor," it is important to follow all the commandments of Yahweh. Believer's are called to work together to resolve the concerns and issues of the communities NOT partner with unbelivers for resolution while promoting a false peace. In concluding this very important topic it will be important to examine its correlation to end time prophecy. Let us continue to transform in Him daily - Peace and Love!

The Interfaith Movement - The Truth Found in Scripture

As we continue looking into this movement and it's origins it is important to examine the word of the Father for truth! Deception has been around since the creation of man as we see with Eve who was beguiled by the serpent into believing if she ate of the tree knowing good and evil that she would not die. Well clearly the serpent lied because Eve is dead! My point is, deception will not always be "in your face" most likely it will come with some truth mixed in with it. We should always examine what we are commiting our hearts and talents to as we must ensure all things align with the will of our Father.

My previous posts provided details surrounding this movement and how it has really gained momemtum in recent years. While there are basic principles of the movement that appear subtle and harmless, let us look to scripture for instruction in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16)

Is this “Interfaith” movement scriptural?

Although it may seem unpopular and quite frankly unchristian to speak against anything that promotes unity and love among all people but Yahweh’s truth is revealed through scripture that the Interfaith movement is a false movement of inclusion under the guise of love and peace. It is not our Father's will that the church (as established by Christ in Matthew 16:18) accept and promote that there is more than one way to heaven by denying the deity of Yahshua. The very nature of joining members of all religions to demonstrate respect and promote religious tolerance disregards and is an attempt to refute that Yahshua has declared “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). By promoting tolerance through religious pluralism (acceptance that there is more than one religion, more than one path to heaven and the belief of co-existence) one is clearly denying that Yahshua is the ONLY way.

When we refuse to exalt Yahshua as the Messiah who is the supreme revelation of Yahweh’s love, we deny the Father's love for us. As believer's we have been called to righteously judge all matters and scripture admonishes us to discern all things so we do not become partakers of evil deeds. David prayed for sanctification and protection asking Yahweh to "Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties" (Psalm 141:4). As believer's we should be in continual prayer just as David that we are not drawn to wicked practices but we should be totally separated from all that our Father hates.

Can light mix with darkness?

Absolutely not, for when light is mixed with darkness, the darkness will not comprehend it (John 1:5). There can be no communion or alignment (no matter the cause) of a believer with a non-believer. There is no common ground among the two, one walks in light and strives for righteous living while the other walks in iniquity and lawlessness. Woe to those who profess Christ yet support this wicked movement as they become workers of iniquity deceiving and scattering the sheep. In Matthew 24:4 Yahshua warns “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” This is a warning against false prophets and false doctrine. Bible prophecy is clear that during these last days the church will be stacked by apostasy and “many will fall away” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4) choosing to follow false doctrines. The integration of different religious beliefs leaves the church vulnerable to the growing deception that occurs during end times. Paul also expresses very plainly “The Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to deceitful spirits and doctrines of demons” (I Timothy 4:1). As sons and daughters of the Most High we are forbidden to follow the teachings of this New Age and deny Yahshua as the Messiah (truth only revealed by the Holy Spirit).

If believer's err and follow this ecumenical teaching then they embrace the objective of this movement which is heaven here on earth; a perfect eutopian society where everyone is "god." We know that Yahweh is Creator of all things (Genesis 1:1) and He is the only true and living God (Jeremiah 10:10). Is it a believer's purpose to take away from the word of Yahweh, where John writes “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea” (Revelation 21:1)? All things prophesied in scripture must come to pass thus heaven on earth cannot exist, not now or ever and all are warned that if they hear the words of the prophecy do not add or remove anything from it (Revelation 22: 18-19).

As prophesied, the church has begun to embrace and accept false doctrines. Influences of these strange doctrines begin to grow as the church seemingly transforms pagan practices by adding biblical principles (e.g., Hindu disciplines such as Yoga are reintroduced via the new age concept of "Christian" Yoga). Also through symbolism many of these false religions are able to exalt their god and in many cases introduce demonic spirits (drawings, imagery, etc.) while intermingling with others. As a result, believer's become vulnerable to seducing spirits and submerged in seas of deception. Let us be vigilant in these days that continue to grow darker so we are not led astray and overcome by evil.

The Interfaith Movement - Trail of Deceit!

Happy New Year! Although we are not to be conformed to today's culture and the trending of New Year resolutions we still honor the Most High by giving thanks for the blessings of seeing another year. As believer's we recognize that our journey of being transformed in His image and likeness should not occur once a year but daily.

As stated on the previous post, I will continue to share the truth behind this movement. It seems as though so many are embracing the concept of "world peace." As the chaos continues to increase across the globe so will the cry for peace. On September 7, 2013, Pope Francis declared the day as a worldwide day for prayer and fasting for peace in Syria and the Middle East. This is one of many recent events where world leaders or highly influential men of faith have made global cries for peace. As we continue in our research, let us be wise and discerning of the day and time of which we live.

The origins of the “Interfaith” movement (Not so Popular Approach)

The popularity of this growing movement can be traced to several sources but the most popular and clearly one of the most influential in outlining the blueprint to make this movement a success was Alice Bailey, a major proponet of a New World Order (NWO). Alice Ann Bailey (6/16/1880 – 12/15/1949) was a writer and theosophist in what she termed “Ageless Wisdom” which included occult teachings, esoteric psychology and healing. She also delved in astrological and other philosophical religious themes. She has influenced many occult and pagan believers i.e., the UFO society, self-awareness/healing propaganda that is now floating through this age. Alice Bailey’s goal was to ensure that those who believed in the one who would soon come would promote that all faiths are equal. Bailey is largely credited to have significant influence on the New Age movement in which she developed the 10 Point Plan where she claimed “first of all, He will come to a world which is essentially one world.” Obviously, this is in reference to the "lawless one" or the "anti-christ" that we find in scripture.

The outline of Bailey's 10 Point Plan or Strategies for the New Age (NWO) are as follows:
1. Take God and prayer out of the education system.
2. Reduce parental authority over the children.
3. Destroy the Judeo-Christian family structure of the traditional Christian family structure.
4. If sex is free, then make abortion legal and make it easy.
5. Make divorce easy and legal. Free people from the concept of marriage for life.
6. Make homosexuality an alternate lifestyle.
7. Debase art, make it run mad.
8. Use media to promote and change mindset.
9. Create an interfaith movement. (WOW – REALLY)
10. Get governments to make all these law and the church to endorse these changes.

As noted by the 10 Point Plan or 10 Strategies of Alice Bailey towards a new age of society, number 9 is part of the agenda to promote the equality of all religions in an effort to destroy Christianity. Alice Bailey wrote; “Promote other faiths to be at par with Christianity and break this thing about Christianity as being the only way to heaven by that Christianity will be pulled down and other faiths promoted. She said promote the importance of man in determining his own future and destiny – HUMANISM. Tell man he has the right to choose what he wants to be and he can make it happen, he has the right to determine his cause – This takes God off His throne."

Alice Bailey is considered a Prophetess of this New Age movement also known as the Age of Aquarius when all will recognize the ability to be god lies within who you are. Therefore, in order for the age of Aquarius to be fully established “God (Yahweh) must be dethroned or made equal” in essence Biblical Christianity is destroyed and no longer viewed as the dominant belief with One Creator (Yahweh). She believed that all would embrace self-illumination at the time of Aquarius.

The truth behind this movement is expressly stated by Alice Bailey “…all who see no true or basic difference between religion and religion or between man and man or nation and nation will rally around him (the anti-christ); those who embody the spirit of exclusiveness and separateness will stand automatically and equally revealed and all men will know them for what they are.” Although the movement did not gain momentum until the Roman Catholic Church started the course, the seed was planted through the works of Alice Bailey. While Bailey clearly outlined the strategy to propel the movement forward, the Roman Catholic Church accelerated the movement. The influence of the Roman Catholic Church on the Interfaith movement is outlined below with an excerpt of the apparent fusion of Roman Catholicism and Paganism. For example, in Vatican Council II documents it states, "…In Hinduism men explore the divine mystery and express it both in the limitless riches of myth and the accurately defined insights of philosophy. They seek release from the trials of the present life by ascetical practices, profound meditation and recourse to God in confidence and love. Buddhism in its various forms testifies to the essential inadequacy of this changing world. It proposes a way of life by which man can, with confidence and trust, attain a state of perfect liberation and reach supreme illumination either through their own efforts or by the aid of divine help. …The Catholic Church rejects nothing of what is true and holy in these religions." With the desire to learn and explore more of the mystical aspects, the Catholic Priest Thomas Keating outlines the emerging aspects of practices in meditation of pagan faith as follows: "Contemplative Prayer is the opening of mind and heart - our whole being - to God, the Ultimate Mystery, beyond thoughts, words and emotions." In this statement alone, Keating has attempted to belittle Yahweh to an “ultimate mystery” attempting to make Yahweh equal to a mythical being or concept. In this attempt to merge Yahweh, the Creator with other pantheistic views, the image of Yahweh as sovereign is deduced to a resemblance of man. In essence those practicing contemplative prayer have learned the effects of centering prayer are ecclesial, as the prayer tends to build communities of faith and bond the members together in mutual friendship and love (sounds familiar). This movement is seeking to make Yahweh into the image of humans.

Now that Rome has entered a marriage with Pagan teachings/beliefs the New Age movement as prophesied by Bailey has come to the forefront of many who are enlightened and fully embrace this concept. This is being propelled by Catholics and the Emergent Church making this New Age concept of all faiths as equal very probable to many who are committed to this effort.

Clearly, this movement is not about world peace the implications are far more deceptive. Since the beginning, the plan to be as gods has not been destroyed or forgotten - it simply has evolved. We will begin to examine scripture on my next post. Let us work to be transformed daily - Peace and Love!
