Rise of The Human - Avatar

"And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold" (Matthew 24:12)

If we look back just a few decades and begin to measure how society has advanced in science and technology, the results would be astounding. Every day I am reminded how far we have progressed in each of these areas simply by the tools used daily, e.g. phone, car, computer, medicine, etc. We have learned to embrace these conveniences as most of them have proven to be a valuable aspect of daily living. It is rare a person would complain about having a car to drive or medicine to cure an infection, in fact most people will embrace the advances made in science and technology, as they have become a necessity for today. I certainly agree these advances are great benefits, especially when used wisely. In fact, I am extremely grateful for the wisdom, ingenuity and resources available to make these things happen.   

Although, I recognize the benefits I also see the detriments. As I continue to grow in Christ, the world becomes even more bizarre. While advances in science and technology have proven to be great benefits to society, not all are helpful.  There are many recent advances that actually contribute to the destruction of humanity. As believer's, it is important to be wise and understand the intent of these advances as well as the affects they will have on each individual and society as a whole. 

A New Age of Consciousness

Many may recall the movie Avatar that was released in 2009, depicting an ex-Marine as an Avatar (a human mind in an alien body), where he finds himself in a quandary between two worlds, fighting for survival of an indigenous people. The movie, produced by James Cameron, was a huge box office success grossing more than $760 million worldwide (source).  Most will remember the movie for its unique special effects and 3-D cinematography.  However, I want to highlight a deeper meaning of the film that is propelled today moving the “concept” from the big screen to real life.

The term avatar carries several definitions and/or meanings.  First, I would like to focus on the religious aspect.  An avatar can be linked to Hinduism and refers to the descent of a deity to earth or a descent of the supreme being; it is a form of incarnation.  It is a core principle of Hinduism and is most often associated with the Hindu god Vishnu (source).  Now applying this basic concept, the manifestation of the avatar to restore righteousness to the cosmic and social order, the movie stays true. The movie truly captured the essence of this concept and introduced society to a disturbing and demonic belief system.  The premise for the film was the ability of humans to enter the world of "aliens," called the Na'vi, by way of half-human, half Na'vi hybrids.  This was achieved using a high tech interfacing mechanism. Simply put, the human experiences life through the avatar as if consciousness was transferred (source).  I truly pray believers will begin to understand the depth of deception this world has disintegrated into as it introduces such fallacies by subtly promoting these delusions through the form of "art."

A more common familiarity or association of the avatar in mainstream society is through technology. In computing, an avatar is an icon or graphic representation of a particular person in games, Internet forums, etc. It can be used as a representation of the user's character or their alter ego (source).  There are numerous websites available where a person can select an avatar to use for a website, a forum, instant messaging, video games, wallpaper and more.  Most that create avatars on their gaming system are able to design the avatar to their specific likings e.g., the hair color and style, clothing, even the avatar's body composition and skin tone.  Most do not consider any harm in creating an avatar as they say it is detached from anything that is real. But, what happens when the concept is moved from the movie screen or the video game console to real life?

Not to long after the movie 'Avatar' was released, CNN explored the possibility of the avatar concept becoming a reality.  During their interviews of several scientists, they concluded…

"Scientists say we are many decades, even centuries, away from making this kind of sophisticated interaction possible, if it can be done at all. But the fundamentals of components required to create this complicated system of mind-controlled avatars are already in the works, and have useful applications in medicine.  

        

'We're starting to understand the basic building blocks, but the biggest challenges will be emotion and thought -- how to make another organism think what you think, to feel what you feel -- because those networks are much more difficult to sort out,' said Dr. Brian Litt, associate professor of neurology and bioengineering at the University of Pennsylvania" (source).

                          

    

If we fast-forward four years from when the article was written to the year 2014 (present day), we will see that scientist have continued in their exploration of this fascinating subject and it is largely inspired by the movie Avatar.  

Researchers have made great strides in their efforts to test and present some convincing results.  According to recent studies at Harvard's Medical School in Boston, scientist were able to conduct an experiment in which brain activity from one monkey was used to control the hand of another sedated monkey. 

"In work inspired partly by the movie "Avatar," one monkey could control the body of another monkey using thought alone by connecting the brain of the puppet-master monkey to the spine of the other through a prosthesis, researchers say" (source).

Clearly, the movie had a very significant impact on scientific research concerning treatment of people who may have suffered illnesses and injuries resulting in paralysis.  However, it is not about the "science" or the healing of another person that questions this level of research it is the intent described by the scientist performing this research.

"The scientists emphasize the goal of this research is not for one person to control the body of another. Rather, when it comes to treating patients with spinal cord injuries, such as quadriplegics, 'we envision putting a microchip into the brain to record the activity behind the intent for movement and putting another microchip in the spinal cord below the site of injury to stimulate limb movements, and then connecting the microchips,' Williams said."

The implications of this matter are far reaching as shared in this article, there will be a microchip inserted into the human brain.  Some may disagree with my assertion of this experiment as a wicked practice, but I believe our Father who declared, with man, there is no end to his continual thoughts to do evil (Genesis 6:5).  While they say the goal is not to control the body of another, ultimately that is exactly what they are doing. 

The influence of this movie is vast and goes much deeper than what is seen on the surface, from inspiring scientists to create modern day signs and wonders to promoting one of the strongest delusions that will enter the thoughts of mankind.  The movie was an epic depiction of transcendentalism and a plethora of other demonic teachings.  It highlighted a fundamental belief of transcendentalism which is the connection to "mother earth" a divine healing source. Towards the end of the film, the main character was able to transcend his human form to the actual hybrid avatar fully moving his consciousness (soul) from man to this new physical being. Avatar was such a huge box office success, production is underway for Avatar 2 which is slated to be released in December, 2015.

Ye shall be as gods

Far worse than the experiments to achieve an alternative for those with physical disabilities is Project 2045, which is an aggressive attempt to reach immortality via an avatar.  Clearly, this is the rise of the human. This project, Avatar, will allow the transfer of the human subconscious to an artificial human body in order to achieve immortality.  Again, we see the same concept applied in the movie through this project that's designed to achieve immortality. There was a recent summit in June, 2013 in New York where the strategies were outlined for this project. You may view the manifesto and other details at http://2045.com/. Men have gone so far as to designate 2045 as “A New Era for Humanity” a time when the greatest paradigm shift known to man will occur which is when humanity will be able to control their existence by eliminating aging and even death.  According to this movement, they “…believe that it is possible and necessary to eliminate aging and even death, and to overcome the fundamental limits of the physical and mental capabilities currently set by the restrictions of the physical body.” Below is a short promotional video of their belief and the purpose for Project 2045.

Let me pause here for a second because the reality is our Father knew this would happen when Adam was disobedient and ate of the tree of knowledge of what is good and evil.  He knew that men would cling to the quest of becoming gods and while we know that salvation is of the LORD, we also should not disregard the signs and wonders that men will display during these last and evil days. It is my earnest desire that believers will be balanced and wise in their assertions of what mankind is capable or not capable of accomplishing.  As Christ prayed, let us also pray that the Father’s will is done on earth as it is in heaven and more importantly as He prayed in John 17 that we will be one; steadfast, unmovable and always abounding in the work of the LORD (I Corinthians 15:58). 

The move towards an eutopian society is increasing and with movies such as Avatar promoting the concepts of this enlightened era, many believers will become more and more conditioned to these fallacies and unfortunately many will believe and fall deeply into this deception.  Paul expresses that "Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead" (I Timothy 4:1-2).  Therefore, we know many are going to turn away from the truth, turn away from the Word and their faith, and accept these lies as truths.  Countless will believe in the days ahead, they can transcend their present state to become a godly or divine being.  This was the lie that was told in the beginning by the serpent and is the heartbeat of those who follow such beliefs today. 

It is my prayer believers will continue to study their word, renewing their minds daily to avoid these strong delusions. There is joy even in this world, but it is only through Christ.  He has overcome the world and that truth is our hope.  Let us all continue to be transformed in Him daily discerning the times are evil for truly we may be in this world but we are not of this world – Peace and Love!

Rise of The Human - Evil Hearts

I have been studying and focusing on a matter the Father has revealed to me almost five years ago which is the “thoughts of the heart of men” during the end of this age. This next series of posts will continue to focus on deception and events that were prophesied thousands of years ago as it relates to mankind.  Knowledge has increased, there is an uprising occuring, and it is not good.  It is my desire to continue to share truth and encourage believers to remain vigilant during these hours (Luke 12:56).

 

There are numerous events occuring on a global scale revealing how wicked men and women have become to which their wickedness seems to have no end.  Unfortunately, wickedness is not bias in fact it is nondiscriminatory as to who portrays such behavior. Superficially, there are many who will argue most people possess a moral compass that would deter acts of violence such as murder, robbery, terrorism, etc. Without understanding the true nature of mankind, this argument is faulty and lacks truthfulness.  Scripture clearly reveals in Jeremiah 17:9, the heart of man is desperately wicked, in other words it seeks to do evil continually.  This has been the nature of man since the fall of the first man - Adam (Genesis 3). 

Immediately following Adam’s disobedience, violence between humans began with Cain murdering his brother Abel (Genesis 4) and it has not ceased.  Humanity has continued to express mankind’s inherited propensity to sin against Yahweh by way of physical actions and/or through carnal minds, and fleshly thoughts.  No matter the offence, the nature exists in every human (born of a woman) to commit an act of treason against the Most High.  By the 10^th generation of man on the earth, our Father was grieved by the continual thoughts of the heart of men to commit evil and was sorrowful He made man on the earth (Genesis 6: 1-7).  The evil deeds were so great; He sent a flood and only spared eight people (Noah and his family).  If we really focus on what happened, we recognize once the fall of the first man occurred, the nature of man became sinful immediately which resulted in committing immoral acts against the Father’s divine law.  If generations so close to the first man, who walked with Yahweh, performed such ungodly acts, what can be said of this current generation? Truly, it is nothing good. 

Men will Build and Rebuild

 

When we look at the intent or the resolve of the thoughts of man’s heart, astonishing acts of depravity are revealed.  I desire to focus on events that are occuring worldwide and appear to elevate mankind to be as god beginning with the construction of architectural wonders.  Men will build colossal structures to boast in their deeds, an example is recorded early in scripture with the building of a great city in the land of Shinar and the building of a tower (Tower of Babel) so high the top would be in the heavens (Genesis 11).  As there is nothing new under the sun, so continues man’s efforts to build monumental structures.  Now these structures may seem harmless in the natural but the intent of these creations is gravely sinister.  The Tower of Babel was constructed because men wanted to make a name for themselves.  Their pride caused them to turn against the Most High.  The same continues today as evident by the recent completion of the One World Trade Center Tower located in New York City.  This tower is 1,776 feet and bares countless symbolism of man’s determination to be great in preparation for a new world.

 

The structure whose name begins with “One World” is a clear indication of this age, which promotes solidarity of all humanity uniting and creating a new world of peace, not divided by government, currency or religion. It is hailed as a tribute of the terrorist attacks of 9/11 where men have declared in any adversity, “I will rebuild” and has become a modern day beacon of light or hope. 

 

Probably, the most notable reference to rebuilding after 9/11, came from former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle who delivered an address to a joint session of Congress citing Isaiah 9:10 as a reference for declaring, “That is what we will do. We will rebuild.”  First, let’s be clear Isaiah 9:10 is a prophecy of the future punishment of Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria for disobedience in which the people will foolishly declare in pride and arrogance of heart, they will rebuild if destruction happens and will do it better than before. Although the scripture used by Tom Daschle was out of context, the prideful spirit and intent of the words spoken is the same.  America, with great pride, proclaims even when tragedy strikes, this nation of “greatness” will always rebuild.  The entire speech focuses on the greatness of a nation and people – did I mention how great this nation is?  Well, clearly that is the point - to focus on the greatness of men and their creations instead of honoring the greatness of the Creator. Former President Bush, Daschle and many others led the cause to rebuild, instilling in the minds of the American people and the world that it is because of the "greatness" of this nation, a structure even better than the two that were destroyed will be raised and today we see the fulfillment of such claims. Without question, men will bolster in their accomplishments; they will build huge structures to display their importance, they will continue to build and rebuild.  As believers, let us not be deceived by the wickedness that is so rampid today.  There is great pride in mankind today and we are reminded in Proverbs 16: 5, “Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD…” Clearly, these structures were never built to bring honor and glory to the Most High.  They are the results of evil thoughts proceeding from the heart of man.  We should not embrace concepts to rebuild even if they appear innocent and harmless, the LORD will weigh the spirit and judge every man according to his deeds.  Sadly, the building of architectural wonders to signify greatness is only a portion of the uprising of humans – the deception continues. Let us be transformed in Christ renewing our minds daily - Peace and Love! 

Earthquakes in Divers Places!

“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places” (Matthew 24:7).

 

Because of the advances in technology, global communications and the additional locations of seismographic sites, researchers are able to provide more details on earthquakes as they occur globally.  According to U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) “…we expect about 17 major earthquakes (7.0 - 7.9) and one great earthquake (8.0 or above) in any given year” (Source). Obviously, this prediction is based off historical data collected and analyzed.  The USGS along with the British Geoligical Survey (BGS) provides additional data that also states earthquakes are not neccesarily increasing as what many may believe (Source).  Although these facts support earthquakes have not increased, there is no certainty that will not change in the days ahead nor is there certainty they will not increase in intensity as well.   

We are able to observe earthquakes occuring around the globe and as stated above seismologists are even forecasting there could be at least one major earthquake of 8.0 above each year.  On January 23, 2014, it was published in the journal, “Science” the New Madrid Seismic Zone is very active and in fact, seismologists Morgan Page and Susan Hough have concluded the following:

“…current level of activity must be the signature of active, ongoing processes that continue to generate stress in the region –stress that we expect will eventually be released in future large earthquakes.  In other words, the New Madrid Seismic Zone is not dead” (Source).

 

According to USGS, the New Madrid Seismic Zone in the central United States has produced at least four large earthquakes of magnitudes of seven or over around 1811-1812 (Source).  Without question, an earthquake can occur anywhere, anytime and with great intensity. 

Below is an eyewitness account recorded by George Heinrich Grist as he described the intensity of the earthquakes as well as the fright among those experiencing the event in 1812, including the lost of animals (Source).  

 

Now, when we look in scripture at the words of Christ, clearly he prophesied earthquakes occurring in divers places will be a definite sign of the end of the age.  Well, what should we expect to happen based upon scripture?  According to scripture, we will have earthquakes and they will occur in various locations.  Christ does not provide specific information on the occurrence of these earthquakes i.e., specific number, specific locations, specific timing etc. We purely know that along with famines and pestilences, earthquakes would occur all over and they will be great (Luke 21:11).  Earthquakes at the end of this age are certain and they are significant enough for Christ to point out as a sign prior to His return.

As believers, we should not be fretful or anxious concerning end-time events for we have received warnings and we are not asleep.  Paul wrote “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed” (Romans 13:11).  There should be emphasis placed on this verse for when we are awake, we will see the signs that Christ foretold for what they truly are, which are signs of His imminent return. These signs (earthquakes, famines and pestilences) must occur; however as the author of Hebrews plainly states the focus of believers is on the hope of a Kingdom that will come that cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28).  

Let us remain in prayer, seeking the Father continually for truth, knowledge and the understanding of His word.  We will continue to see earthquakes with great intensity occuring all over the globe until Christ return, yet these earthquakes are not signs of an immediate end. Although they will be devastating, we must continue to hold fast to our faith. 

There is only one recorded earthquake in scripture of cataclysmic proportions, which is the "Quake" that will shake the heavens and the earth.  This earthquake will signal the time of the Father's wrath upon the earth.  John captures the details of this quake in his vision,

¹² ”When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, ¹³ and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale.¹⁴ The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. ¹⁵ Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, ¹⁶ calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, ¹⁷ for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”(Revelation 6:12-17)

 

My friends, when the world experiences the "Quake" as described by John, it will be a terrible day upon the land. I pray the message of repentance and salvation will ring true in the hearts of many so all will be found holy on the day of His coming.  Let us be transformed by renewing our mind daily in His word – Peace and Love!

No Peace

On my previous post, I shared several significant events that have occurred recently denoting the peace currently offered by the world is a false peace.  There are numerous world events escalating the global cry for peace from rumors of wars, civil unrest, the impending global economic collapse, moral deprivation and the increase in false religions.  These events are significant as they each have the ability to create a crisis situation unlike the world has ever seen. Each event would interrupt life, as we know it, sending the world into a decline that would rival any depiction of the dark ages. 

Currently, the unrest in the Ukraine continues to escalate creating a clash between the US and EU with Russia.  US Secretary of State, John Kerry recently affirmed the support of the Ukraine people in Munich when stating the following, "Nowhere is the fight for a demoncratic, European future more important today than in Ukraine.  The United States and EU stand with the people of Ukraine in that fight" (Source). This is one of many growing problems in the world, where nations are put at opposition with each other.  Sadly, the increases in civil unrest, government protests, etc. have grown significantly.   

While these events may seem normal (nothing new under the sun), scripture reveals they will increase in intensity.  Christ warns in Matthew 24, prior to His return, there will be wars, rumors of wars, false christs, false prophets, and deception and lawlessness will increase.  He continues to describe these happenings as the beginning of sorrows, but there is greater suffering that will come upon the earth.  Let me be clear, as Christ foretold of the end of the age, He never stated there would be a time of peace prior to His return. In fact, the troubles of the land would increase unlike the world has ever known, He plainly states, "For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened" (Matthew 24:21-22).  In this verse, His return would come at a time when the world has experienced catastrophies so great, it is at the brink of complete annihilation.

As a testament of things to come, John describes in his vision, "When He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, "Come and see." Another horse, fiery red, went out. And it was granted to the one who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that people should kill one another; and there was given to him a great sword" (Revelation 6:3-4).  This is a significant verse foretelling the removal of peace from the earth, painting a very brutal picture of how this will occur. This verse is not saying peace will be removed resulting in disruption in power sources, inability to pay bills, fights breaking out etc. No, it is saying that people will actually kill one another, which means the calamity that will befall the earth is dreadful. 

The Holy Spirit continues to bear witness to this truth as evil abounds in the land.  It is my hope that believers will continue to be vigilant during these days and more importantly separate from the world.  We are approaching events foretold for thousands of years and are inescapable. The signs and wonders will increase and deception will be so thick in the days ahead, yet our hope is in Christ, knowing He has overcome the world.  He has not left us comfortless or powerless (Phillipians 4:13).  Hebrews 11 assures us, by faith we will overcome. 

Peace as we know it today will soon go away, believers should not be caught off guard by this false movement towards peace or embrace a message of peace.  The workers of iniquity conspire daily to advance their agenda of a new world.  They have not withheld their plans although many believers have chosen to disregard their evil deeds to pursue their best life now.  While I do not know the future as our Father knows it, the Holy Spirit has revealed great calamity will soon come upon this land.  Let us be transformed in Christ discerning the times we are in – Peace and Love!
